ABOUT BRENDA

Brenda has gained an excellent widespread reputation demonstrating her spiritual skills to audiences across the UK. She has made an impact upon many peoples lives and receives a phenomenal amount of requests for private sittings. Brenda says that her most memorable reading was for an Emir many years ago which was a very strange and quite embarrassing experience, which she still laughs about to this day. Her main claims to fame are demonstrating her skills in The Deans House, Westminster Abbey and writing an article for the Brixton Prison magazine (she assures us that she wasn't an inmate).

A natural medium, psychic and remote viewer Brenda was born in North West London into a family of psychics. Both her mother and grandmother had the gift. Her grandmother was of Celtic descent and it is believed the gift has been passed down through the generations; the gift has also been passed to Brenda's son.

Where it all started.

Brenda's mother recognised her gift while she was still a baby. Right from when she could string a few sentences together Brenda would tell people things she couldn't possibly know but, in post-war Britain, this was something that was only usually discussed behind closed doors and was ostracised. When she started school she became the 'weird kid' and was often bullied. During her extremely troubled teenage years she began to wonder what was wrong with her and sought answers. Being as spiritualism was not widely publicised and there was no internet or social media, Brenda relied on what she read in magazines on withchcraft and the occult. She sought out a coven to help with her strange abilities and began giving one to one readings to members of the public at 15 years old. It wasn't until she was sixteen that she discovered a spiritualist group. These kind, but elderly, people helped her to understand what was happening to her and she became the youngest person to give messages from a rostrum at that time. Not long after, she decided that she did not want the restrictions that being part of one religion imposed upon her.

Gaining Experience.

Over the years that followed, Brenda took every opportunity to learn about as many aspects of the occult and spiritual world that she could. She loved working with the powers of the Universe and nature but found that some of the beliefs of witchcraft didn't gel with her, so she began her own voyage of discovery. Demonstrating her mediumistic ability in churches, community halls, peoples homes and anywhere that would let her. Eventually she began giving readings in various centres and, later, on psychic fayres where she built up a good clientelle. Even so she was always (and still is) striving to push the boundaries of her work further, wanting to give the best possible messages she could. Never being satisfied, always feeling that she could do better. Brenda joined a profeesional psychic fayre circuit in 1987 and for years worked the circuit alongside her 'proper' job and had the pleasure of reading for many famous people. After being made redundant in 1996, Brenda rented a unit in London's dedicated psychic centre the Mystic Maze where her clients varied from regular people to business moguls, to the mega-rich and famous.

Moving to Sheffield.

Life's journey brought Brenda to Sheffield in 2001. Since then she still gives readings for some of her long-term clients. Recently her work has gone full circle with her going back to giving readings on psychic fayres and doing stage shows. She believes that spirit is attracted to the energy surrounding us and one of the best ways of building this energy is laughter, of which Brenda intends to bring more into her stage shows. She does not profess to be a comedian but when you have lived as long as she has you have many funny true-life stories to tell.

These days her beliefs are her own and her pathway is a combination of Paganism / Occult/ism / Witchcraft / Shamanism / Spiritualism / Metaphysics / Various other traditions and her own findings. Brenda does not follow a particular religion, she does what is necessary when it is required. She doesn't have a witchy name, she doesn't wear witchy clothes because witchcraft is there all the time and it is not enhanced by fancy trimmings; it is a way of life. She does not believe in fancy ceremonies or calling upon deities. She works with nature and the natural, the winds, the earth, the sky, the planets, the plants, the trees and the animal kingdom. She doesn't believe in trying to alter anyone's free will, we are all here to make our own choices and our own mistakes. She just does what comes naturally to her.
